Introducing Our 2020 Board of Directors

With the first month of 2020 coming to a close, our momentum for our best year yet is well under way. Each quarter our Board of Directors meet to ensure the long-term success of the company and grow shareholder value by providing insight, advice, and support to leadership. Within the Board of Directors, there are three committees each with a primary focus on audit, compensation, and nominating.

The Butler/Till Board of Directors consists of a five-person powerhouse team:

  • Tracy Till, Chair
  • Steven Robins, Vice Chair
  • Danielle Montesano
  • Kathleen Brookbanks
  • Kimberly Jones, President & CEO

Tracy Till  

As a business leader and media and marketing guru, there is nothing that Tracy cannot do. She has spent her career focused on improving brands and making a difference to not only her clients, but to her employees. Tracy is an award-winning corporate leader, innovator, culture builder, and collaborator with particular interest and experience in women-owned businesses; business strategy planning; marketing communications; navigating leadership transitions; and creating lasting and vibrant cultures. She is a proven visionary who seeks change and enthusiastically leans into “what’s next,” believing that leaders who focus on people, products, and processes can help their companies grow profitably while maximizing employee satisfaction and engagement. Tracy co-founded Butler/Till in 1998 with Sue Butler. Tracy was an integral part in the growth the agency has experienced since its establishment and has contributed to work that has won industry accolades such as Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies for seven consecutive years and Ad Age Top 50 National Best Places to Work. She has been awarded the Silver Achievement ADDY Award and was a Finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. She has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Business from the University of South Carolina (Columbia).

Steven Robins  

With over 30 years of experience, Steven is currently a Managing Partner and Principal for The New England Consulting Group. As a global leader with a record of building and sustaining success at the company, business unit, and functional levels, Steven’s key proficiencies include: developing high functioning teams, creating and elevating marketing and insight competencies, developing differentiated business and brand strategies, and accelerating enterprise innovation. He has broad experience with both B2B and B2C products across the international regulatory spectrum including RX, OTC, 510K Device, NDA, Cosmetic, and NHP. Prior to joining The New England Consulting Group, Steven was the President at Milestone Scientific, President and Founder of Ayin-Pei, and Chief Marketing Officer at Bausch + Lomb. Steven holds a bachelor’s degree from Bates College in European History.

Danielle Montesano  

Danielle has more than 20 years of experience and is currently a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance and ESOP and ERISA Advisory Services at Duff & Phelps. Danielle’s experience includes working primarily with corporate acquisition and sale transactions involving corporate governance, valuation, ERISA, tax, restructuring, and financing public and private securities. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Danielle was an Executive Vice President in the Fiduciary Advisory Group at First Bankers Trust Services. She began her career practicing benefit and tax law and developed an expertise in ERISA fiduciary matters associated with structuring, implementing, and governing Employee Stock Ownership Plans across a variety of industry verticals. Danielle received a JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She also holds a bachelor’s in biology from Saint Mary’s College.

Kathleen Brookbanks  

With nearly 40 years of experience, Kathleen has held titles such as Managing Director at Mindshare, Managing Director, President (East), and Chief Operating Officer at OMD USA, WW Director Of Organizational Effectiveness at Omnicom Media Group WW, and most recently Chief Operating Officer at Hearts & Science. She has a demonstrated history of awards and involvement in the industry, such as being an instrumental part of the team that earned Hearts & Science the Ad Age Agency to Watch Award as well as held the title of Agency Vice Chairman of the 4A’s Trade Association. Kathleen is known as an experienced marketing executive with a passion for helping agency talent be their best selves. Kathleen has an MBA focused in Business Management and Marketing from Manhattan College.

Kimberly Jones  

Kimberly brings decades of experience in both B2B and B2C marketing. She previously worked at McCann Erickson, Johnson & Johnson (which won a Gold Effie during her tenure), Bausch + Lomb, and the Wolf Group. Client experience includes Johnson & Johnson, Bausch + Lomb, University of Rochester Medical Center, Valeant Pharmaceuticals, Unity Health System, Rochester General Health System, Ithaca College, Kodak, Tops Friendly Markets, State Farm Insurance, and ESL Federal Credit Union. She has contributed to work that has won industry accolades, including an Addy Award and an American Marketing Association Pinnacle Award. A winner of Rochester’s “40 Under 40 Award,” Kimberly has spoken at Nazareth College of Rochester, University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business, and at the American Marketing Association of Rochester. She has a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Rochester.
