Butler/Till Preferred BI Platform, Microsoft Power BI, Earns “Leader” Honors in Q3 2019 Forrester Wave™

From video to voice, the number of channels available to advertisers and brands can result in tough choices and difficult decisions. Data visualization helps simplify how marketers track performance and prioritize optimizations within their total marketing and media mix. The preferred enterprise BI platform informing these type of data-driven decisions for Butler/Till clients — Microsoft Power BI — recently received the top ranking in The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise BI Platforms (Vendor-Managed), Q3 2019, published earlier this week.

“A greater focus on business outcomes has raised the stakes for marketers and their use of data to inform winning strategies in complex markets,” said Wendy Emerson, Group Director, Reporting and Measurement, Butler/Till. “Microsoft Power BI has played a major role in our ability to help our clients overcome this common challenge with confidence and clarity.”

Butler/Till chose Microsoft Power BI as its preferred enterprise business intelligence platform in 2016 following a thorough review of competitive offerings. Today, the majority of our clients leverage Microsoft Power BI as part of a comprehensive suite of software and technology solutions that fuel media planning, analysis and optimizations across offline and online channels. Forrester issued its updated report on July 29, 2019.

“Microsoft Power BI enables us to standardize and organize data, simplify and scale reporting, and obtain key insights from integrated marketing campaigns,” said Emerson. “These combined capabilities enable us to more effectively accelerate speed-to-decision for marketers.”

Emerson leads a team of Data Scientists and Information Analysts who partner with Media Strategists, Specialists, and Planners on campaign strategy and analysis. Butler/Till clients operate in highly competitive, often regulated markets such as pharmaceuticals, health plans, financial services, and energy.

“Microsoft Office 365 provides a near-universal way for us to connect and collaborate with our roster of diverse clients,” said Mike Della Porta, Vice President, Business Optimization and Technology. “Microsoft’s open, integrated roadmap aligned perfectly with our strategy and served as a key factor in selecting Power BI and the suite of Office 365 applications. We were always confident in the potential, but the enhancements made to date continue to exceed our expectations and deliver value for today and tomorrow.”
