We’re proud to announce that Kimberly Jones, President of Butler/Till, has been named to the Rochester Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 list for 2016. This prestigious list honors forty men and women, under the age of 40, who have achieved professional success and have also made significant civic contributions to the Rochester community.

Kimberly joined Butler/Till in 2009 as Vice President of Client Services. Over the course of six years, she was an integral part of business growth – both organic and new business. In January 2015, Kimberly was named President of Butler/Till when co-founders Sue Butler and Tracy Till stepped down and joined the Board of Directors. Shortly thereafter in June 2015, Kimberly spearheaded Butler/Till’s first acquisition, Brand Cool Marketing. She now oversees both agencies headquartered in Rochester, NY, with satellite offices in San Francisco, CA and Morristown, NJ.

As President, Kimberly also oversees all client service teams, media teams, and is ultimately responsible for the satisfaction of each of the agencies’ clients. In addition, she heads up the company’s sales and marketing efforts.

During Kimberly’s leadership as President, Butler/Till has gone through a number of significant organizational changes (e.g., the co-founders leaving, day-to-day operations, a new leadership team, becoming a 100% employee-owned, and the agency’s first acquisition). Yet, it has still achieved astonishingly low turnover rates – 7% compared to the advertising industry average of 25% – and booming revenue growth. Kimberly has been instrumental in the growth that Butler/Till has achieved throughout her tenure. The agency reached its highest revenue year to-date in 2015 at $14.8 million, experiencing over 33% year-over-year growth in revenue. Due to this progress, in 2015 alone, Butler/Till hired 21 people. Over the past three years, the agency has experienced 36.5% employee growth.

Outside of the office, Kimberly regularly speaks at industry and community events. Most recently, topics have included the following: culture, communications, leadership within employee-owned companies, millennials in the workplace, and marketing through mergers.

Kimberly is an active member of the Rochester Young President’s Organization, the Rochester chapter of the American Marketing Association, and the 4As American Association of Advertising Agencies.

For Kimberly, giving back to our community means jumping in the trenches to do the work she feels has the greatest impact on results. She frequently contributes her professional services (marketing), volunteers where help is needed, and financially supports the organizations and causes she cares most about. These include Gilda’s Club, Lollypop Farm, Golisano Children’s Hospital Stroll for Strong Kids, and United Way. Kimberly sits as a Board Member for Bivona Child Advocacy, overseeing the Marketing Committee established to build awareness for the organization. She joined the Board in 2015 and continues to serve in this position.

Congratulations, Kimberly!
